This triptych pays homage to Far Eastern culture and Chinese Tibetan handicrafts. Each of the three paintings is a complex composition that can be broken down into simpler still lifes. Each painting is dominated by a base color, with white being prominent here. Amid basic geometric shapes like cubes and polyhedra, various living creatures such as birds, beetles, and even a lizard interact with their surroundings. This interplay between living and non-living elements resembles a theater where every participant has a significant role to play. The painting symbolizes the interconnectedness of our world, where everyone, including humans, contributes to the eternal cycle of life. Upon closer inspection, more participants of the performance can be discovered, inviting viewers to study the painting carefully, as is characteristic of Tatyana Palchuk’s works.
