The idea for a painting series had long been a dream for the artist. In the 1990s, figural compositions were realized, but still lifes were postponed. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, the Master brought this idea to life. Each painting represents a color of the rainbow, with a plethora of small creatures and specially chosen birds inhabiting each composition. Objects in the paintings are carefully matched to their respective rainbow hues, presenting a complex yet fantastically executed task. The result is a symphony of colors, positivity, and the joy of life.
In Tatyana Palchuk’s works, drapery plays a significant role, reminiscent of the Early Renaissance Masters seen in European cathedrals and Vatican frescoes. Palchuk modernizes this tradition while maintaining a connection to European historical art.
In the red-themed paintings, attention is drawn to small details and hidden creatures, complemented by Red-Bellied Woodpeckers, emphasizing the color and dynamics of the micro-world depicted. Additionally, some paintings feature a color pencil on the edge of a pencil bowl, matching the dominant color of the painting.
