Education & Background
Shi Wei’s art is deeply influenced by the female body, which holds a powerful sway over his imagination and perception of reality. His captivating oil paintings of slender women reveal his admiration for them, and it’s clear that he identifies closely with women due to the attention he devotes to portraying them.
Shi Wei’s artworks have been exhibited in major art fairs like Singapore Art Fair and Hong Kong International Contemporary Art Fair, as well as The Asian Art Association in Korea. His auction record stands at RMB230,000, set at Poly International Auction house in Beijing in June 2013. Shi Wei’s beautiful series of skinny women are highly sought-after by international collectors.
