Education & Background
Shi Li Feng, born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in 1968, graduated from Hebei Normal University in 1991. His artworks reflect the shift from Socialist Realism to Expressive Individualism in Chinese contemporary art. The Red Man series represents Shi Li Feng’s inner self, portraying the paradox of life’s pain and happiness through red figures set against political backgrounds. These figures symbolize hope and progress as they strive to improve their lives.
Shi Lifeng is renowned for his powerful Red Person series, featuring red figures against contrasting black or vivid blue backgrounds.
His artworks have been sold at auctions worldwide, including Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei, Singapore, New York, and Paris, with a record price of US$63,250 for Utopic No. 1.
Shi Li Feng’s artworks have been exhibited internationally in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, France, The Netherlands, England, and Scandinavia. He has also participated in major art fairs like Frieze Art Fair, Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Switzerland, and Hong Kong Art Fair (part of Art Basel since 2012).
