Education & Background
Liu Li Guo is renowned for his unique painting style, capturing the essence of twentieth-century Chinese identity by blending consumerism with traditional elements. His vibrant and imaginative artworks often convey his concern for preserving Chinese identity amidst China’s evolution and westernization.
A prominent series of his is the “trafficking imagination,” featuring surrealistic paintings that remind viewers of Gaudy. He also excels in avant-garde variations on Chinese traditional arts, showcasing intricate details and bold use of colors in both his paintings and ceramic sculptures.
With over 50 international exhibitions in cities like Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore, Tokyo, Brussels, and more, Liu Li Guo’s influence spans far and wide. His artworks have achieved significant recognition, with an auction record of US$101,636 set in a major auction in China in 2010. Liu Li Guo’s artistic journey dates back to 1986, marking his longstanding contribution to the art world.
